How to Apply for EUMaster4HPC?

Prospective students will submit their application through a dedicated online platform. The application form must be completed in English and the following documents, which must be accompanied by a certified translation in English, must be uploaded:

• Curriculum vitae (CV) / Resume;
• Copies of diploma along with translation in English must be presented. If the requested diploma has not yet been delivered, an official letter from the awarding university mentioning the expected date of completion will be required;
• Letter of motivation: The intention to enrol in the EUMaster4HPC programme should be clearly stated;
• Academic transcripts of records of all university studies;
• Evidence of English proficiency with a recognised International English test Certificate or an official letter from the university confirming the previous English-taught curriculum (see details above);
• Copy of passport / ID card.

Application procedure

To apply for the EUMaster4HPC programme, you will need to follow these steps:

• Submit an application to the local Master’s programmes at your preferred EUMaster4HPC awarding universities. Be sure to check the application deadlines (listed below) for each selected university, as they may vary, and adhere to them strictly.
• Submit a separate application to the EUMaster4HPC programme.

Note that it is not necessary to wait for acceptance from the preferred university before submitting an application to the EUMaster4HPC programme. However, final admission to the programme is conditional upon acceptance by the awarding universities.

Applicants will be informed of the outcome of their EUMaster4HPC application via email within eight weeks of submitting a complete application.

Student’s international mobility path

Before making their choice, applicants should note that if they completed their bachelor’s degree in a country where one of the awarding universities is located, they cannot start their first year of the EUMaster4HPC there. Instead, they must select a different awarding university in another country to ensure academic mobility and a diverse learning experience.

International mobility is at the heart of EUMaster4HPC. As such, students will study in two different countries over the course of the programme and will be required to change country between Year 1 and Year 2. It is therefore not possible to complete both years in the same country.

Selecting Universities

In Step 3 of the application form, applicants must select the university preferred for Year 1 and the university preferred for Year 2, and may also indicate an alternative option in case one of the preferred universities does not accept the application.

• Preferred for Year 1: University intended for the first year of study.
• Preferred for Year 2: University intended for the second year of study.
• Alternative option: A backup university if either the Year 1 or Year 2 preferred university does not accept the application.

Please be aware that while applicants’ choices will be considered, they may not be granted. The selection committee may also offer an alternative pathway based on availability and programme requirements.
