High-Performance Computing (HPC) is the engine of discovery, the power behind breakthroughs that shape our world. From simulating climate change to revolutionising medicine and artificial intelligence, HPC drives innovation where it matters most. To lead in this field, Europe needs bold thinkers, skilled pioneers, and strong collaboration—and that’s where you come in.

The EUMaster4HPC is more than a Master’s programme—it’s a gateway to European collaboration, innovation, and leadership in HPC. By joining, you’ll gain access to cutting-edge research, unparalleled opportunities, and a powerful network of leading HPC researchers, supercomputing centres, and industry partners across Europe.

Summer School 2026 in Luxembourg

Entitled "High-Performance Computing and Emerging Trends", the Summer School 2026 will take place from 5–14 July 2026 in Luxembourg.

#Why

An answer to the current need in highly skilled HPC experts

High-Performance Computing is becoming a cornerstone of Europe’s digital and industrial strategy, with applications ranging from science and engineering to health and climate research. To fully harness these technologies, Europe needs highly skilled experts who are in high demand worldwide.

EUMaster4HPC has been created to address this challenge. Its graduates will form the next generation of HPC experts, equipped to drive innovation, support European sovereignty in critical technologies, and fill urgent skills gaps across industries.

#Is it for me?

Training the new generation of High-Performance Computing experts

EUMaster4HPC combines theoretical and applied courses with a Mastership (Internship and/or Master’s Thesis) in a European, multidisciplinary environment.

The programme’s first year covers the fundamentals of High-Performance Computing, with all awarding universities providing the same solid core curriculum. In the second year, you will choose one of six specialisations, which vary depending on the awarding university you will relocate to.

Graduates of EUMaster4HPC become highly qualified HPC experts, ready to work in academia, research centres, supercomputing centres, or industry. The programme provides in-depth training in key areas such as numerical methods and data analysis, system performance, HPC development and support, system architecture, artificial intelligence, and quantum computing. Students also benefit from a true European learning environment and gain access to an international network of HPC leaders.

#Where

Leading European universities in High-Performance Computing

EUMaster4HPC is composed of ten leading awarding universities committed to advancing High-Performance Computing throughout the continent.

From Spain to Bulgaria, and through, Italy, France, Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Luxembourg, EUMaster4HPC offers the most interconnected learning ecosystem for HPC in Europe. The consortium brings together 42 partners from academia, research centres, supercomputing centres, and industry, offering exclusive internships that can therefore be undertaken in a third country.
